On Saturday 17 May 2025, St Peter & St Paul Church in the charming village of Great Bowden was transformed into a glowing sanctuary of over 300 flickering candles. The gentle light, lit ancient stone arches while unforgettable film themes filled the nave. We had such a fun time preparing all the music and making sure the atmosphere was perfect. As the sun went down the concert began!

rehearsal, for phrasing, bowing, and timing so that every to ensure each piece captivated all and brought them back to that first viewing! making sure all pieces transitioned cleanly and even making sure we all had time to talk to the audience.
A special shout‑out goes to the dedicated crew and volunteers who arrived early to help unload and position candles safely around the chancel. Their help very much helped everything run smoothly.
Things slowly starting to take shape! That moment when the candles create that perfect glow! As you can imagine, setting up all those candles was very tiring, but what goes up must come down! A huge thank you to all that helped pack away. certainly helped being fuelled by the lovely comments from our audience!
A definite favourite of mine was our Raiders March from Indiana Jones, Filmed live, Have a quick listen!
